Scott Levine, a career spammer and criminal, gets 8 years in the slammer for breaking into a data broker company Acxiom’s servers and stealing their data for spamming.

Scott Levine was running a spamhaus called snipermail.com.

The difference between him and what Axciom is doing is, of course, purely academic, as Acxiom has already stolen your data and is abusing it in exactly the same way spammers are. They just happen to have the politicians in their pockets a little better than spammers do.

Daniel J. Lin is not just any spammer. He’s from West Bloomfield, MI.

While West Bloomfield, MI does not have the same notoriety as Boca Raton, FL for more spammers per square inch, it’s probably the 3rd on the list of Top Spam Sources list in the world. West Bloomfield, MI is the current hometown of one Alan Ralsky, career criminal, habitual liar, sociopath, and, yes, a spammer. In fact one of the biggest spammers in the world.

Daniel J. Lin has been spamming with and for Alan Ralsky for a long time, and now finally the law caught up with him. He’s made a guilty plea deal with the prosecutors and we can only hope the plea deal was made in exchange for his testimony against Alan Ralsky.

Ralsky, you’d look perfect in an orange jumpsuit. Hope you get to wear it soon.

A Florida scumbag decides it’s a good idea to forge spam to come from an ISP in Iowa. No to so fast.

The ISP sues the vermin in 2004, and case finally gets a decision today.

$11B USD awarded to the plaintiff. Do not pass jail, do not go home, ever, as you will never be able to afford one.

Peter Francis-Macrae aka Weaselboy was just convicted to 6 years in prison for fraud, making death threats, making threats to destroy or damage property, concealing criminal property and blackmail.

I’ve written about Weaselboy before.

It’s amazing how many spammers have criminal records.

Alan Ralsky, the self-proclaimed Spam King, finally got caught with his pants down. The FBI raided his home and his son-in-law’s home and seized all of their computer equipment and business records.

Ralsky, like other high profile spammers, is no stranger to being in the wrong side of the law. He’s served jail time for fraud in the past. Let’s hope they put him back where he belongs after the FBI has concluded the investigation on this vermin.

AG Reilly shuts down Internet spam gang websites

Leo Kuvayev and his cohorts based in Massachusetts spamming for their illegal online “pharmacy” business got pwned by the MA Attorney General to the tune of $37M.

Weaselboy’s online antics

Peter Francis-Macrae, otherwise known as Weaselboy, from St Neots, Cambridgeshire, UK thought it’d be a good idea to send death threats to people who stood up to him, threaten the .uk domain registry with a DDOS attack and even more amazingly joe-job the Chief Constable of Cambridgeshire. For this Darwin Award deserving performance Weaselboy has been sitting in jail since December 2004.

Robert Braver, an owner of a small ISP in Ohio, has made a hobby of suing spammers in violation of the Ohio state anti-spamming laws.

This time he hit the jackpot, and managed to not only get a $10M judgment against a career spammer Robert Soloway, who runs Newport Internet Marketing, but also get an injuction barring this spamming scum from spamming, anywhere, again. Robert Soloway is currently at #9 of the Top 10 Spammers at Spamhaus. It looks like his ranking is about to drop a few notches soon.

Robert Soloway is one of those career criminals, who habitually break the law whenever it suits his needs. He’s done every dirty spammer trick in the book, and then some. There probably isn’t a computer crime in the books he hasn’t violated. Enforcement being what it is he hasn’t unfortunately been a frequent visitor to the jails in this country. Let’s hope the situation changes when he violates the injuction (and he will, no question).

Nice work Mr. Braver! Now go get every single penny and trinket this criminal owns!

Scott Levine, the scum behind spam empire snipermail.com, was convicted on 120 counts of unauthorized access to data, two counts of access device fraud and one count of obstruction of justice. He and his employees stole 1.6 billion customer records from Acxiom, a company whose business is to violate people’s privacy, and used the data to spam and inflate the size of snipermail.com’s contact database to make snipermail.com more attractive to buyers.

Maximum sentence is 640 years in prison and about $30M in fines.

Let’s hope the people sentencing him were victims of his spams.

The only negative side to the story is that Axciom, once again, gets away with basically peeing on people’s online privacy.

Scott Richter, general scumbag and one of the biggest spammers in the world, settled the lawsuit Microsoft filed against him for $7M USD.

While it’s a fair share less than the $40M or so sought by Microsoft in their suit, this is still a major victory over the parasites. Way to go Microsoft!
